Hyundai is leading the way with safety features for drivers all over Sacramento. We’re proud to say that Hyundai vehicles in the 2023 model year have earned the distinction of being the leader in automotive innovation for mass-market vehicles for four consecutive years as noted in the 2023 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) StudySM.

What does this mean for Natomas drivers? J.D. Power, a widely known automotive publication, listed Hyundai as the most advanced automotive brand for the 2023 model year when it comes to safety features.

2023 Hyundai Palisade & Emerging Automation

Two models of 2023 Hyundai vehicles were recognized. J.D. Power felt the Hyundai Palisade earned the emerging automation award thanks to its reverse automatic emergency braking system. If you’re considering a new Palisade, look for the Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA) to help with Roseville journeys.

RCCA represents a standard feature on this new SUV. This high-tech safety feature helps avoid collisions toward the rear of the vehicle by warning the driver to hit the brakes. If the driver still hasn’t hit the brakes, the RCCA can assist with emergency braking. RCCA high-tech safety features are part of the Hyundai SmartSense package. It’s an advanced safety technology suite that elevates the overall driving experience when you want to keep you and your family safe.

2023 Hyundai Sonata & Digital Key

The J.D. Power study praised the 2023 Hyundai Sonata with the top mark from the publication in the category for infotainment and connectivity. The Sonata’s Digital Key technology connects to drivers’ smartphones. With the Digital Key system, you don’t have to worry about losing your keys because your phone takes care of unlocking your Hyundai Sonata as an option.

This technology takes advantage of Near-Field Communication (NFC) in your smartphone, which is more advanced than Bluetooth. It’s safer in that only your smartphone can unlock the door of your Hyundai Sonata.

Once these two safety features improve in the coming years, Elk Grove drivers may see them implemented in other new Hyundai models.

What Is J.D. Power’s U.S. Tech Experience Index Study?

J.D. Power evaluates new vehicles every model year based on the advanced technologies present in each vehicle based on a 1,000-point scale. It examines 40 technologies among four categories: Convenience, Emerging Automation, Energy & Sustainability, and Infotainment & Connectivity.

The 2023 U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study analyzed the responses of 82,472 owners of new 2023 model-year vehicles. The respondents were surveyed after the 90-day point of ownership in February through May 2023.
